Willem Versluis
Willem Versluis has been a great nature lover since childhood. He grew up in the Alblasserwaard polder, where nature always caught his interest and made him curious about everything that grows and blooms.
That curiosity has always remained, which is why he later made many round-the-world trips. During these treks, Willem naturally did a lot of snorkelling in various oceans around the world. The interest in the underwater world then also grew. In the year 2000, he decided to get his first diving licences after all, and since then Willem has been making an average of around 75 dives a year. These are divided between tropical dive trips but certainly also half in our own mainly Zeeland waters.
Willem already did nature photography, but soon after his first diving licence, he also started photographing underwater. In the beginning still analogue, which always brought the tension with it. Was everything all right at the end of the dive? Soon Willem switched to digital photography and preferred Sealife. From his enthusiasm and satisfaction, he has been an ambassador for Sealife for several years.
