SeaLife SportDiver underwater case for iPhone®

With this SeaLife SportDiver case, divers, snorkelers or swimmers can take the most unique underwater photos and videos with their iPhone! At home in the backyard pool, on the beach or at the dive site on the dike. But even at your holiday destination, you can capture the most beautiful images at depths of up to 40 metres.

Suitable for:
The SportDiver can be used with the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, Xr, Xs, Xs Max, 11, 11 Pro Max and SE (2nd generation). IPhone 12 series should also be compatible with the SportDiver. At the time of writing, these were not yet available for final testing. Introduction of the SportDiver is planned for Android smartphones in early 2021.

Durable:
The robust housing is made of polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminium and optical-grade glass. And although the SportDiver casing is "Heavy Duty", it is not heavy, weighing just 641 grams. It is lightweight for travelling and has almost neutral buoyancy in water, depending on which iPhone model is used.

IPhone as creative photo camera:
The SportDiver is sturdy to hold and easy to use. It has a large shutter button and accessible control buttons on the back for easy operation, even with diving gloves on. Creative snorkellers and divers can use the camera app's optional advanced settings for taking their photos or videos. Such as: zoom, exposure (EV), auto/manual focus, white balance, hue, lens selection, RAW + JPEG mode, live photo and background blur (on available iPhone models).

No risk, double security:
Safety for your phone above all else! The SportDiver has a DOUBLE LEAK ALARM, including an internal moisture alarm AND a vacuum pressure alarm, which alerts you with an on-screen display, an audio and an LED signal in the unlikely event that the casing does show some form of leakage and moisture is detected in the casing or if pressure loss occurs in the casing. With the included vacuum pump, you vacuum the enclosure to a negative pressure. The built-in pressure gauge in the casing provides a display on the IPhone's screen to make sure you bring the casing to the right negative pressure. After that, it is a very short wait for the vacuum system to indicate that no pressure change has taken place, and so you know you can take the set underwater with confidence. The housing is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock sealing latch, which easily and securely seals the waterproof door. To prevent the inside of the housing from fogging up due to humidity, it is recommended to use the anti-fog capsule "Moisture Muncher" to minimise humidity and thus prevent internal condensation as much as possible.

Free SportDiver App:
The SportDiver housing is used in conjunction with the free SeaLife SportDiver camera app iOS 12 and above. (Unlike other smartphone housing apps, there are no annoying in-app purchases or ads). You can easily switch between photo and video mode. The SportDiver app uses the iPhone camera technology that comes with every iPhone® model.

Photos and Videos are readily available:
The app playback mode displays photos and videos in full size with a vertical thumbnail strip for easy scrolling through images. Videos are played automatically when selected. All files are also saved to the iPhone movie reel. The SportDiver housing automatically connects to your iPhone and the SportDiver app via Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5 wireless technology. No cables or buttons connect to the phone. The SportDiver has extremely low power consumption for both the phone and the housing, which is powered by two AAA batteries, lasting more than 50 hours with continuous use.

Colour correction filter included:
For better image results, in tropical blue water, the SportDiver comes with an interchangeable colour correction filter, which restores natural underwater colours. The filter can be easily attached or removed underwater and is fitted with a safety lanyard to prevent loss.

Optional external exposure:
The SportDiver housing has three 1/4-20 tripod mounts that can be mounted on any lamp or base plate with standard tripod threads, such as SeaLife's own range of Sea Dragon underwater photo/video lamps. SeaLife also offers the combination SportDiver with Sea Dragon underwater lights, the SL401 "SportDiver Pro 2500 Set".

Universal fit:
For the safety and protection of the phone, the SportDiver is equipped with a spring system and rubber grip tabs that keep the iPhone® firmly in place and provide protection against shocks. This also makes it very easy to change IPhone models inside the case.
Delivery of the SportDiver iPhone casing is scheduled for November 2020. Introduction of the SportDiver is planned for Android smartphones in early 2021.
